Laser Welding Technology

Laser welding fuses the metal by pulses of intense light and heat melting the members together while TIG welding fuses the members by heat created from an electric arc. MIG welding and TIG welding are similar in that they both use electricity to melt the material but MIG welding uses a filler material (usually a wire of the same type of material fed through the electrode). New advancements in laser welding called "metal deposition laser welding" are similar to MIG in that they introduce a filler material by concentrating a cone of filler metal into the laser's focus point.

Merit of Laser Welding

Pulse laser welding process creates welding pool by the partial heating idea, in the result of reducing the accumulated heat on the base material. This idea deliver us the fascinated result of very less Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) and no base material distortion.

Additionally, with the ultra-fast light speed as pulse, the welding pool can be heated and re-cooled in split seconds. The welding results are fine grain structure and high bonding strength than the traditional welding process.

Relation between material and laser welding technology

LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is a type of artificial light which has all light (wave) property for example; Light Reflection Rate and Heat Absorption Rate.

As well as Laser welding technology and parameter adjustment which should be concerned those properties of each different materials.
